The work in this series was begun in 1998 and continues to this day. I collected narratives from American Jews, Israelis, Palestinian Americans and Arab Americans that I hand painted onto sheer fabric. The fabric hangs two feet in front of the life-size portraits which are done in pastel and charcoal on paper. They are large installations (approx 80" x 54"). There are two views of most of the pieces from left to right. Many of the images can be enlarged. Two of the portraits are literally a conversation between individuals titled, "Dialogue 1" and "Dialogue 2".
